I'm sharing my second most favourite track of all time here. It is Fantasie Impromptu by Chopin. This track and my all-time favourite track (which I will share in a later blog) are my go-to tracks when I want inspiration, relaxation or if I just want to listen and contemplate.
Amongst the various interpretations of Fantasie Impromptu, my favourite one is by a Russian pianist named Bunin. I'm sharing the video below.
The pace, the touch and the emotion in this version seem perfect for me. There is this particular moment I want you to see in this video, irrespective of whether you like classical music or not.
Please check out his playing from 1:39 onwards and maybe watch for a minute! What an absolute delight to watch him! He becomes one with the music and so entrenched in that moment. There are no words to describe it.
This is really a gorgeous piece and as the name suggests, Chopin seems to have just played this impromptu! Extraordinary.
I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I do.
